We believe the Bible, both old & new testaments, is the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the final authority for determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, the Bible is inspired, infallible, & inerrant. (Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26; Timothy 3:6; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
The Bible
We believe there is one God who exists eternally in three Persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully God, equal in power & glory, yet together they are one God.
(Genesis 1:26; Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Hebrews 3:7-11; 1 John 5:7)
The Trinity
We believe that God created people in His image, but sin entered the world when humanity chose to disobey Him. Because of sin, everyone is separated from God. Our only hope for forgiveness, restoration, & a relationship with God is through Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
(Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21)
Redemption
We believe that salvation is a gift from God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We can't earn salvation through good works or human effort. When we repent—turning away from sin & turning toward Jesus—we receive God's forgiveness & begin a new life in Him.
(Romans 10:9-10; Acts 3:19, 16:31; Galatians 2:16, 3:8; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; Hebrews 9:22)
Salvation
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God & fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, rose again, & now reigns with the Father in heaven. Jesus will one day return in glory for His Church & establish His kingdom forever.
(John 1:1; Matthew 1:18; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Acts 10:38; 1 John 2:2; Hebrews 4:14; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; Revelation 20:6)
Jesus Christ
We believe that after salvation, the Holy Spirit continues to work in a believer's life, helping them grow to become more like Jesus. This lifelong process involves turning away from sin, living in obedience to God, & growing in holiness until Christ returns.
Romans 6:1-23; Hebrews 12:14; 1 John 3:2
